Our Company

We are America's premium wine cork supplier featuring a triple quality assurance program, responsive service and consistent cork quality.  We were established in 1981 as Cork Supply International by Jochen Michalski to provide the finest quality cork available to small, ultra-premium wineries.   Over the years we have expanded, and now have all sizes and types of wineries using our products. 

In 1995 the name was changed to Cork Supply USA to reflect the market being served.  Today, Cork Supply USA supplies more than 100 million corks annually to an expanding United States wine industry.

Quality Makes us Different

Cork Supply USA's Triple Quality Assurance Program ensures that we supply wine corks that meet or exceed our customers' expectations.

We have our own large laboratory which includes a microbiologically controlled "clean room", a functional testing room, and a sensory and grading area.  CSU's Triple Quality Assurance Program utilizes a similar laboratory (Global Cork) in Portugal for pre-purchase and pre-shipment evaluations.   When corks arrive at our California facility, we continue testing the corks for sensory characteristics, physical dimensions and grading. 

Finally, corks are thoroughly evaluated during processing for conformance to specification, and a Quality Assurance Report is issued to the winery.  Each year more than 500,000 corks are used in our quality testing procedures.
